Christmas for the twins this year was full of ho ho ho's! Every time they, especially Amelya, would hear the word Santa she would reply with ho ho ho...so cute!

Thomas and Amelya had a great Christmas opening gifts and enjoying time with daddy and mommy home during the week!

The girls and I had lots of fun making daddy a birthday cake this year. We stayed home and had a nice supper with yummy chocolate cake for dessert! The kids love to sing Happy Birthday and be with their dad and daddy loves to celebrate with his kids and wife around him!

We had a record snowfall last week which started on the 25th of November and continued November 29th! We had tonnes of snow....and drifts so high we were standing level with the fence in the backyard. Leo dug tunnels for the girls and we made a frosty the snowman as well. The girls friend came over yesterday to join in the fun!

And today the rain began to fell and frosty lost his carrot top nose and his eyes, mouth and buttons....so sad.

The twins, Thomas and Amelya, are now 19 months old and are a lot of fun! They are very busy babies and are very noisy too but for the most part, very happy kids! They love to play with Emma and Annabel. Thomas loves to look at books and play with his trucks and Amelya likes to be in on whatever the girls are doing!

Annabel visits the pumpkin patch with preschool!

Annabel and all her preschool friends went on a tour of Willow View Farms this morning and had a great time despite the cool fall air. We missed the rain so that was great! The class went on a hayride to the pumpkin patch and along the way learnt how they pick apples which Annabel thought was pretty neat!

They all got to pet the animals in the barn and then go through the maze. Annabel had lots of fun with her friends!

Emma and her kindergarten class recently visited Aldor Acres and had a great day to go on a hayride, pick a pumpkin and visit all the animals on the farm! I had the priviledge of being a driver and it was lots of fun to get to know Emma's classmates.

We recently had the privelege of having Leo's mo, Yolande and our nephew Stephane from Winnipeg come out and spend 8 days with us. We had a great time full of laughs and good memories. The girls really enjoyed their grand-mere and Amelya was quite taken by her cousin Stephane.

We will sure miss the extra hands in the house now that they have gone home!

Ok, we just celebrated Annabel's 3rd birthday which is tomorrow, with all of her little friends. we had a flip flop themed party and had 24 little kids in the backyard. They all had a great time. We decorated foam flip flops, ate lots of snacks from the snack basket, played in the pool, with water balloons, ate cake, were entertained with a cardboard box and opened presents. It was a great morning filled with great memories!!

Above are a few silly pictures of the twins and the girls playing around. The twins really love to play together and they love their older sisters as well!! It is really nice when all four of them play together and entertain one another!

Thomas really loves to press buttons and look at books and Amelya loves to be where the action is!

Emma and Annabel continue to be big sisters and let the younger two know when they should or shouldn't be doing something!

The twins 1st birthday

On March 24th the twins turned 1! I can't believe a year has gone by although at times i can't remember when they came home. They are happy, busy babies but thankfully not walking yet. Thomas is 21lbs and Amelya is 19lbs! Thomas likes to get up on his knees while Amelya is up on her feet cruizing along the furniture. They really like to play together and interact with each other which is really neat to watch!

Well, Emma is now 5 and waiting eagerly to go to kindergarten. We had a family supper on the 14th for her and then on the 22nd of March I held a birthday party for Emma and the twins. All together we had 28 children and 10 adults in our home ... noone was hurt and nothing was broken!!

Here are a few pictures that have been taken within the last couple of weeks. The twins are learning new things every day. Ameyla started saying mama on the 1st of January and Thomas just started saying baba, dada, yaya this week. They really like to talk and watch each other all the time. Amelya is now on the move and slithers everywhere and rocks on all fours often. Thomas is still stationary but flops on his belly in hopes that he will be able to move without having to do too much work!!

Annabel is a character as I have said before and keeps us laughing all the time. Emma is growing up so fast, going to be five in March ahd is such a mother's helper, I would be lost without her!!

This was Annabel in her hospital bed during her stay due to croup! She was a trooper and made herself right at home with her blanket and pillow from home!

She was very bored as she was confined to her room the whole stay but we snuggled lots and watched lots of movies!

Merry Christmas to all!

We have had a rough month of december with illness in our home. It started wtih Annabel being admitted to the hospital on December 9th for croup ...she gave us a big scare with that as she could hardly breath due to the virus being in her voice box...She stayed in the hospital til sunday morning. At the end of the following week, Thomas decided to give us a scare and he was admitted to the hospital on Dec 17th with a viral chest infection and stayed in pediatrics until yesterday....he is now home but we have to give him breathing treatments 2 - 4 times a day for the next couple weeks.

Needless to say we are not quite ready for Christmas but as long as we are with family and remember why we are celebrating this special time of the year, the birth of Jesus, we will have a great holiday season!!

This year Emma decided that her costume was that of a tooth fairy and she was very excited...she was allowed to wear mom's makeup and boy was that exciting! I could just picture her ten years from now wearing it all the time!

Annabel dressed up as a princess so she called herself but did not want to say trick or treat to get the candies!

The twins were not dressed up this year..next year forsure!

Between the two girls they got too much candy but sure enjoyed seeing all the kids in the neighborhood. Emma was able to be dressed up monday morning for preschool and thought that was pretty neat!

Well, there is the clan and the twins are growing like weeds. They will be 7 months on the 24th of October, can't believe it! Amelya now has two bottom teeth and Thomas just discovered two weeks ago how to roll over! They are getting better at holding themselves up when we find the time to practice sitting them up!

Emma is in preschool 3 mornings a week and loving it and also continues to be a big help around the house. Annabel is continuing on in her role as a typical two year old and speaks in sentences all the time, some of which amaze us at her age!

Life is very busy around here and the list is endless of things that need to be done....hopefully I will get to Christmas cards this year....heres to hoping!

Back to routine!

Well, September has hit and it is back to the business that comes with preschool, mom's group etc. Emma is enrolled for preschool three mornings a week the key is being able to get her there and back on time with the twins in tow!!

Emma would love to try gymnastics or skating plus i would like to enroll her in clubs this fall so we shall see what she ends up doing.

Annabel is a typical two year old, always on the go and she always has something to say! She saw the dentist for the first time this week and was not overly impressed! Emma had to go as well as a couple fillings she had fell out and she will need to go back in October to have them repaired, not a fun trip but needed!

The twins are doing great, they started eating cereal and veggies a week and a half ago and are doing great. Thomas just figured out how to eat from a spoon this morning after a messy week of trying!

Leo is busy with work which is great and has intentions of going hunting in october for about a week..ahhhhhhhhh!

And I am just busy with running the house or rather maintaining it at this point in my life!

We recently went to a birthday party at Bridal Falls for Emma's little friend and I got a few good shots of the girls so here they are!! Emma is four years old and Annabel will be two on the 26th of this month. Time sure goes by fast, I can't believe she is two already. And Emma is a little mother around the house, loves to do everything and anything for the babies.

Annabel is the monkey of the family, always making everyone smile and laugh...especially with her wild hair!

Emma is a nurturer who loves to help everyone out and make sure everyone is happy!! She is lots of fun as well and it is so neat to see her growing and changing all the time!

Well, here is a pic of the twins, Thomas Albert Norman and Amelya Ruth Rheanne, who are now 4.5mths old. Thomas is almost 16lbs and Amelya is 14.5lbs and they are great babies for the most part. Amelya is busy rolling all over the place while Thomas is just content to sit in the bouncer and chatter away. They smile at everyone and love their sisters Emma and Annabel!

Back from a break!

Well, I just got back from St. Catharines, Ont. where I attended my ten year high school reunion...what a fun time. Most people wondered why I would be so excited to go back and attend this function but it was so work it!! Seeing old friends, where they are now, the kids running around etc. it was great. and the best part of the trip was spending time with my twin sister Jacqui and her husband and 2 year old daughter Sarah.

I was also able to get away from my dearly loved four children for a much needed break!! But all good things must come to an end and I am now back to reality and having a great time being a mom to four kids four and under!
